Paint the Town!

June 11th, 2011 - Give Back Cincinnati’s tenth annual Paint the Town event—and NAAAP’s fourth—in Dayton, KY, started off with inclement weather, but the rain didn’t hold anyone back for long.  By early midday the skies cleared up, and NAAAP got to work scraping, buffing, and painting, working with volunteers from the membership ranks, and others who joined in at the last minute! Mike Liska, homeowner of the house in Bellevue, KY cooked up a delicious pot of Sloppy Joes as thanks, in addition to the Chick-Fil-A sponsored lunch.

At the afterparty held at the lawn of Dayton High School in Kentucky, many of our members had the chance to network with each other and with the other PTT participants, from volunteers at GBC to employees ranging from Procter & Gamble, US Bank, Duke Energy, Gold Star Chili and more. Even with the paint and grime from the day’s work still stuck to our clothes, we enjoyed every minute of it. Thank you to our wonderful members for participating or donating to the cause! It’s empowering and encouraging to see people taking an active role in moving the city forward, and beautifying the scenery, one house at a time.

Missed it this year? Don’t worry, we’ll do it again next year! Please join NAAAP today and stay updated on future events!
